During the six-day „Debütantenaustellung“ at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, Marie Madlen Weber sleeps every night on a block of wax. At night, the block slowy starts melting with the heat and the body weight oft the artist. The following morning, the observer sees the first fine body inprints on the wax. The presence of Marie Madlen Weber at night, shows itself during the exhibition by the gradually deepening impression. By day she is absent and yet the changes in the wax are a picture of her physical presence.
