Marie Madlen Weber sits for three consecutive days, seven hours, on a massive wax base. By the warmth oft he body, the material starts to softens and begins to become viscous. It deforms and swells over the base edge, moves towards the floor and changes gradually the sculpture. The shape results from the interplay of body heat and passing time. The wax base serves as a starting material, which is used for a principle of constant change. The wax for the work "7,14,21" was already used in an earlier installation "Raum orange". The different works deal with the interaction of material and body, whereby the body heat plays a decisive role, which then determines the shaping process. By heating, the material becomes liquid, thus dissolves from a certain shape, to then be redetermined and to be able to absorb new impressions. After Marie Madlen Weber was sitting three days on the block, the wax base is placed as a sculpture and the photographs show the stages of his transformation. The impression stores the negative form and gives an idea of the human body that has interacted with the material.
